OSTEC's I.T. Managers Roundtable is a group of IT professionals who meet monthly to share insights, and solve problems to assist in maximizing the value of their businesses. The I.T. Roundtable is run by and for its members. The rationale for the roundtable is that individuals, who manage Information technology or are educators in this field, can benefit from informal conversations with their peers on issues of mutual interest and concern. A steering committee determines meeting format, arranges for speakers and venues, etc. Meetings presentations on topics of interest such as ITIL - Best Practices for IT Service Delivery; Data Retention and Protection; Internal Controls (SOX) and impact on IT; Selling the soft side of IT implementations; measuring ROI; VOIP; Wireless devices in the organization; Virtualization / consolidation; and, IT staff retention/career enhancement. Group members also take turns offering presentations on their workplace.
