OSTEC's Manufacturers Roundtable is a group of production / operations / quality assurance professionals who meet monthly to share insights, and solve problems to assist in maximizing the value of their manufacturing processes. A steering committee determines meeting format, arranges for speakers and venues, etc. Meetings presentations on topics of interest such as cost-effective manufacturing and quality control processes; automation – what works and what doesn't work; waste management, i.e. plastic, wood, etc; access to training facilities; influence over existing training programs; and, employee recruitment & retention. Group members also take turns offering presentations on their workplace.
