General:

Our client is looking to recruit an Executive Director combining an entrepreneurial spirit and background with the ability to plan, develop and implement strategic initiatives; manage staff; while working under the guidance and direction of a volunteer board.

Skills:

• A proven ability to develop strategies and tactics that align with OSTEC’s mission and direction.


• Results-oriented style of leadership and communication able to shape discussions and policy, at the same time working effectively with an active volunteer board.


• Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.

Essential Experience

• Private sector experience in top levels of management with high technology companies.


• Management experience working in companies of various sizes and stages from start-ups to mature businesses.


• Managing budgets in excess of $500,000.


• Project and people management.

Additional Experience that would be an asset:

• Management experience working in companies at all stages of the business lifecycle (Seed Stage through to Exit).


• Project proposal and/or grant writing experience.


• Some understanding or experience in Economic Development.


• Program Development & Delivery experience.
